Refund from American Airlines

johnmartin01
The way American Airlines cancellation policy applies to you depends on your price type and itinerary. In most but not all situations, you will be charged a cancellation fee if you purchased a non-refundable ticket. You will not be charged a cancellation fee if you purchased a refundable ticket.

If you don't show up for your flight within the specified time, it will be considered a No Show, and the value of your ticket will be forfeited, regardless of whether it is refundable or not, according to the cancellation policy.

Under some circumstances, you may be able to cancel your ticket and get a Refund from American Airlines.

If you meet the following criteria, you may be able to cancel your ticket and receive a full refund:

* You buy a ticket at least two days in advance of your trip and cancel it within 24 hours;
* American Airlines cancels your flight.
* Your flight's schedule changes by 61 minutes or more, despite the fact that you had booked well in advance.
* A schedule modification causes a minimum of a 4-hour delay overall.
* Your nonstop flight has been rebooked on a flight with a connection. Your ticket can be refunded.
* A close relative or co-passenger becomes seriously ill or passes away.
* You get a last-minute military deployment order. You're an American Executive Platinum member with an award ticket in your possession.
